Spring 2021 class registration is now OPEN
Newark Classes will begin on March 10th and going for 8 weeks. This will be in -person training held at the Regional Communications Center (9-1-1 center) located at 119 East Main Street, Newark. Class size will be limited to the first 14 people who register. Because this is a secure building, a photo ID will be needed for the first class.
Classes will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. and will conclude at least by 9 p.m.

Free, 20 hours of disaster preparedness and response training
Disaster Preparedness, fire extinguishment, utility shut off, disaster first aid, light search and rescue, terrorism, disaster psychology
Classes are held 1 time a week for 8 weeks, from 6:30 until 9 p.m. Some evenings we will even finish earlier than planned. If you miss a class, arrangements can be made for a make-up class.
For the Newark classes, the size can be no more than 14.
All adults, regardless of ability or previous training are welcome. Anyone between the ages of 12 and 17 will need a parent’s written permission to participate. Permission slips will be available at the first meeting.
These classes are very much “hands-on” in nature. Students should dress accordingly. Comfortable, modest clothes should be worn.
